Built on compassion,
driven by purpose.

Heritage Companionship was founded on a simple belief — that everyone deserves to live independently, with dignity, warmth, and the right support around them.

Why we exist

We exist to bridge the gap between clinical care and independent living. When someone leaves hospital or finds daily life increasingly difficult, the right non-medical support can make the difference between thriving and struggling.

Heritage Companionship provides that support — professionally, consistently, and always with the client’s dignity at the centre of every decision we make.

How Heritage began

The Founding Insight

Heritage Companionship was established after recognising a critical gap in Glasgow’s care landscape — thousands of people were being discharged from hospital with no structured non-medical support at home. We set out to change that.

First Families Served

Our first year saw us supporting families across the West End and South Side of Glasgow. Every care plan was built from scratch, tailored to the individual — a principle we maintain to this day.

Expanding Our Team

Growing demand led to a carefully managed expansion of our support worker team. Every new member undergoes full PVG disclosure, induction training, and a supervised introductory period before working independently.

200+ Families & Growing

Today Heritage Companionship supports over 200 families across Greater Glasgow. We remain proudly independent, locally operated, and committed to the personal touch that defines everything we do.

The team behind every visit

Our team is selected as much for their character as their qualifications. Every member is PVG-checked, trained, and genuinely passionate about the work they do.
